Completes pre-registration of patients at the point of scheduling, over the phone.Provide information of general and specific nature to patients and visitors, including exam protocol, directions, facilities, services, exam cost and parking.Identifies and communicates change in exam protocol, insurance requirements, and guidelines to leaders.Obtains demographic and billing information from the patient or their representative.Answers department telephones promptly to organization standards, creating a positive telephone encounter.Reviews orders that are received from multiple sources, CPOE (computerized physician order entry), faxed/written, online request, and verbal phone request from clinics, in order to verify the exam requested matches the orders and includes all required information.Submits request for interpreter services, to correspond with scheduled exams.Schedules procedures via phone, answering inbound calls or initiating outbound calls.Schedules in accordance with exam requirements, staffing of the units, equipment and insurance necessities.Demonstrates knowledge of different modalities and the scheduling requirements.
