Huff was the co-captain of the basketball team at Kickapoo. Soon after arriving in California he appeared in the feature film Coach, a story about a high school basketball team with a female coach. After college he moved to Los Angeles to begin his professional career as an actor, writer and director. Nathan is grateful to have the chance to work with so many hard working, passionate, and kind hearted performers every day in the classroom and on the stage.īrent Huff graduated from Kickapoo High School before attending the University of Missouri where he majored in Theater Arts. He is active as a clinician, music director, and accompanist in the area. Nathan currently teaches choirs, musical theatre, and AP Music Theory at Parkview High School in Springfield, MO. Nathan later continued his study of choral conducting in Vancouver, Canada at the University of British Columbia and received his Master’s Degree in Choral Conducting from Missouri State University. He then taught music and drama at Grace International School in Chiang Mai, Thailand where he founded and conducted the Grace Children’s Choir and the Grace Community Choir. Nathan attended the University of Arkansas, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education, with an emphasis in Choral Conducting. Through his experience at KHS and his involvement in the arts, Nathan saw the unique opportunity a teacher has to make a positive difference in the life of a student, which led to his pursuit of music education. He participated in KHS Concert and Chamber Choirs, honors music ensembles, mainstage theatrical productions, and Springfield Little Theatre’s Young Entertainment Series Troupe. Nathan Cook was an active member of the theatre and choral programs during his time at KHS, and enjoyed working alongside his brother, Christian. In early 2020, he was a part of the award-winning ensemble of Windy City Playhouse’s immersive production of Mart Crowley's The Boys In The Band.Ĭlass of ‘07. in Acting from The Theatre School at DePaul University, and upon graduating signed with Shirley Hamilton Talent.Ĭhristian has performed with theatre companies throughout Chicago’s vibrant theatre scene. After Drury, Christian moved to Chicago to pursue an M.F.A. Christian spent three undergraduate summers working with Tent Theatre at Missouri State University. in Theatre with Minors in Global Studies and Philosophy. Christian was also active in Springfield Little Theatre’s Young Entertainment Series Troupe at the Landers Theatre.Ĭhristian went on to Drury University, where he studied under Robert Westenberg and earned a B.A. In his time at KHS, Christian Edwin Cook was an eager student of theatre, and enjoyed sharing the stage with his brother, Nathan. He was a member of KHS Concert and Chamber Choirs, and sang in MMEA’s Missouri All-State Choir in 20. His most recent endeavor is developing a feature film company, Lake Island Films. From there he began to freelance as an Editor, traveling the world, making documentaries and producing content for A&E Television, Current TV, The Tennis Channel, Speed Channel, ESPN Original Entertainment, and FOX Sports. After graduation, Michael headed west for Los Angeles and attended Video Symphony, a trade school for post-production technologies, and soon began working as an Assistant Editor on series for: Discovery Channel, The National Geographic Channel, TLC, and in 2005 a feature Documentary, Grizzly Man. In addition, Michael was sought out by the Springfield Rotary Club to produce a video for the 150th anniversary of Springfield. Michael was selected from high school students across the country to Produce for Channel One News, the national in-school news network based in Los Angeles, CA, during their annual Student Produced week in 2003. He served as Media Commissioner for Student Council's Cabinet, producing weekly videos for the student body and created a memorable, one year later, memorial video for 9/11. At the Springfield-area high school drama competition, Michael co-wrote the one-act stage play Insomniacs, which took home best original script. He worked to co-ordinate the technical sound aspects for the school production of Kiss Me Kate. During his time at Kickapoo, Michael began to create videos for class projects, and experiment at home, developing a knack for the creative technical aspects of production. A 2003 graduate, Michael Anthony Brown was born Septemin Springfield, MO.
